A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life

Downstairs the tv is blaring
The headache I was working on is worse
I can not find my last smoke
The beer in my frig is all gone
Life sucks
Fall asleep to a grunge band
Wake up to an alarm
Advertising has risen already
To steer me to the seven eleven and
Their store brand of coffee no cream
Driving to work would have been a nightmare
What with traffic jams and psycho drivers
But now we get to stay at home
Watch the television with canned news
Forget any newspaper they are extinct
The weather is acting unseasonable
Social distancing prevents looking for sex partners
What in the bloody hell is a person to do?
Welcome to a day in Covid 2020
