A DEPOSIT OF OPPOSITES

Day births night
Night grants day its rest
Words do start wars
Words do end wars
Fire and water are no foes
Energy and lethargy, not opposites
It is our creation to see in black and white
Our restlessness to fish out a difference
Is it not a world of colour?
Is new not the offspring of old?
Even the brilliance of the sun is not needed all day
Light does not extinguish darkness
Darkness gives way; so light can shine
In the deep of our being sits an innocent soul
A soul with a common heartbeat
Nurture sometimes contorts nature
Nature fathers uniqueness
Nurture fathers difference
Taught against the foundation of our thoughts
It was supposed to be harmony; not harm

What an EXCELLENT write...... and even though you take some poetic license here.... your comparisons are brilliantly distributed..... My mother is white.... and my father is black..... so for me..... this is a poem that touches the very soul of me and my outlook!! ~
