A Kiss At Worlds End

A Kiss At Worlds End

The air between us becomes electric
In waves it moves ; circles concentric
Moving forward your lips to mine
A taste untainted of love divine

Your voice melodic, like the breeze
Eluding dancing inquiries
Eyes connect , solid and unbroken
Only shallow breaths have spoken

Words are but the sound of voice
Silent touch are songs rejoiced
Fingers find your warming flesh
Heart to heart where souls do mesh

A gentle tingle upon my skin
My warmth you gently nuzzle in
Here in this loving embrace
Once again your lips I taste

In a moment nothing exists
Lost with you in a dark abyss
Like crashing waves upon the tide
I hold tight to you and enjoy the ride

Who would have thought we would see the end?
Here with you my love , my closest friend
And as the world crumbles to dust
It sure did seem the story was about us
