Poem -

a life upon high

a life upon high

I dance upon the head of a pin
I roll upon the edge of a wire
I stand upon the end of string
I walk barefoot – upon fire

I fold before I show my hand
I work the night ‘til the day has begun
I believe in something for the sake of belief
I live to defend in the battle for one

I run aground in the ‘boat’ out at sea
(having faith in someone not believing in me)

I wonder if wisdom truly can bring
A life upon high – in harmony’s ring
A life upon high – in the eve of the day
A life upon high – in mortality’s way.
