A Place In The Sun

A Place In The Sun

I lived in the sun, better than you've ever had,
one problem solved, no seasonal affected disease (SAD),
you're elevated to being able to 'cock a snook,'
there's gold, yellow, warm, everywhere you look.

Now, this business of having a 'tan.' blacks topping up,
don't be ridiculous, - you're beautiful as you are, a star,
however, a white skin looks good with a nice brown,
agree with me, don't give me now a silly frown.

There was a photographer on the beach - came to me,
wanted my photo for a magazine but someone said:
'There's someone browner over there' - what a prick,
I sipped my beer, my claim to fame was given a kick.

If you're young, get out there, don't wait till you're old,
great times will await you, have the guts to be bold.
