A Poem For My Husband

Did you know when you were born
That you were made for me?
The other perfect half of me
That lingered in the wrong world.

Forty and more years I had to wait to meet you
For you to turn up at my door .
An explosion of fireworks when are eyes did meet
A recognition of a similar soul.

Chasing the time we missed
We live in a haze of bliss.
So my gorgeous husband
I want to acknowledge

The joy, the fun
that your love does bring
Raising a toast to you and I
Together, forever in wedded bliss.
