Poem -

A Quarter Of A Century

I'm getting older today yet I feel the sameΒ
My body doesn't ache, but my mind feels ancientΒ
Twenty-five trips around the sun and a million
around the moon and starsΒ
In all of those years,Β
I have never worried about getting olderΒ
At least I'm a little wiser now than when I was younger
But for all the things that I've lost and things I have learnedΒ
I have never forgotten the people that I have loved
And with every year that turns, I grow a little moreΒ
Becoming a woman that I am proud ofΒ
Whilst gaining wisdom to give to othersΒ
As I continue my adventure across this blue rockΒ
Changing with the wind as time goes on
Just a small purple flower dancing beneath the sun.
