A Reminiscence Of Mariana
Lost Soul Challenge
Once lost I maundered the night alone
Drowning in the darkest of dreams
When I swam deeper to hear the sound of your voice
And followed the current to the sands of your shore
But time's chance had elapsed and nothing was clear
ββSo I waited where the chimes rang out in sorrow
At the steps of your porch
And not long till I caught sight of my footprints
As I turned back with fear
For the grains sealed the impressions
From the edge of the ocean
All the way to your door
