A SHOOTING STAR

 
You fell asleep in the dust
Of a dying and decaying world 
But woke up in an angelic realm 

Hearts shedding tears daily 
Unable to release you of your short stay
Disappointed with having to continue their lives 
With only the thoughts of yesterday 

You've relinquished the stardom 
That like a shadow fades
Earth's fame and fortune 
And the twenty four hours 
Measured days 

You've escaped the struggles 
Which is cloaked with a smile
The worlds pain and suffering 
And the uncertainty of a child 

Now walking in the light
And awesome radiance of God
Where righteousness rains
By the sound of his voice
