A sight we'll no longer see

John Treagood

His local travels made him well known
His horse and Caravan
anchored by the side of many a road .
When he left , There was never a mess
We never knew where he'd turn up next .
- A hark back to days long gone ....

Now with his sad passing
A little memory fades into time
A gentle man , He left his mark
His caravan now finally parked
The horse will graze and the dog will bark
- Their life on the road over
Remaining days in a permanent sanctuary ...

Hi, I think you did a good job with painting a portrait of a person who inspired you. I think you could expand on this somewhat.
