A smile

A smile

A smile can say so much
"I'm so glad to see you."
"I'm happy to be here."
But what about the other things?

A smile can heal many things
A day that went wrong
And was oh so long
But just that curl of someone's lips can mean the world

A smile can hold a million words
Or maybe just those three small ones
That can leave you heartbroken
The "I love you's" left unsaid.

A smile can hide a lot
The "I'm not okays"
Or the feeling of emptiness
And everyone seems to fall for that curl of lips.

A smile can cover too much
The "I'm fines" or the "I'm just tireds
Are sometimes not enough
But a smile is one of the deadliest masks that can ever be worn.
