A Sonnet for Joey

In memory of my nephew who passed 3 years ago. In POV of my sister

A Sonnet for Joey

Paint-brushed memories, etched on summers day.

So clear your face, reflects upon the pond;

Blows 'way with Mays warm winds, your sweet bouquet.

Our woven bonds are, threads to time to beyond.

Sometimes, dark thunder, blossoms silhouettes.

I see and feel, yet,  cannot touch on you.

The evening shrouds me, with its sad caress.

A barren heart, in fields I wander through.

Eternal shine, like sun, you're always here.

Our hearts together, brave encroaching dark.

As breathless light, of stardust dances near.

In memory, I feel your warmth and spark.

Your loves now spun to ash, will dress our hearth;

Your smile remains, imprinted, here on earth.
