A Sorry Game to Play"

There once was a handsome young man
whose arrogance well over ran
He judged himself ten out of ten
when in competition with other men
He played every girl like a game
no worry or care for their shame
But then there came one who was cute
and at his game she played astute
She endured his self seeking at start
and acted truly an impeccable part
Then into his heart did she weave
so his playing at love did he leave
Though still an egoistic young man
thought her right for his selfish life plan
And for a while a couple they be
his own life continued gratifyingly
Still some asked when would she see
the fool's role she played perfectly
Endurance her virtue was to wane
and cannily began her own game
She started to look out elsewhere
realised someone else could more care
So the scales of love power did tip
with another making her heart skip
Thus the arrogant man didn't know
this was an end to his top billing show
But soon it became all too clear
when one day she did disappear
To another bow had she gone
so no longer to arrogance belong
As he took for granted she'd always
suffer his abuse and 'do all' he says
This life's lesson he had to learn
is that even a cute worm can turn
With his weedy heart achingly broke
his feelings became a sick joke
Tried all to be her perfect man
though just a jester in her new life's plan
Lost forever was his selfish sorry game
never to be ever quite the same
For in his arrogance was too blinded to see
took another's love for granted effortlessly
But for real love it takes give and take
and this was his sad sorry mistake
So nursing his cold forlorn heart
he must know before a new love to start
That a woman's not for use or abuse
but to cherish and love or will break loose
And to heed to his heart is a must
love is no game for appeasing of lust
He arrogantly thought himself cool
now seen for a just no good fool
Destined lonely in his love God reign
left reflecting his so sorry game
