A walk in the dark

A walk in the dark

It’s 4:30 in the morning
I can’t sleep I look out
And see the moon and
The stars so I want out
Walking in the dark near
A park the air was still
Not a sound as I looked
Around, I found peace
in my heart and in my
Mind where I find myself
Alone besides myself

As I walk in the dark
I heard, a owl in and
Wonder where he or she
Was Just then he or she
Flew away past the moon
In the morning dew then
I heard the morning doves
Oh how I love the sound
In far off distance I could hear
A train

As I walk in the dark the moon
It’s going down and the sun is rising
So my walk in the dark has come
To an end and some day soon
I will walk in the dark again.

As a kid we played in the woods a lot, my grandparents had tens of acres. But when it got dark, we got scared at every sound nature made until we were pre teens. Now as an adult, I love walking with my dogs on dark cool nights, super cool poem Greg!

I just love the double meaning inside this clever write Greg. We all do indeed find ourselves walking in the dark at times. A beautiful share x

This is brilliant Greg and now one of my fave's ..

Funny isn't it .. I struggled to sleep last night and went for a walk .. we are quite isolated here and there was not a sound except for the sound of owls calling to each other .. it sounded like there was four of them ..

Thank you Neville
There’s nothing like
Getting up and walking in the dark
Early in the morning
It’s very peaceful and if you can hear nature, it’s a lot of fun. Have an awesome day my great friend.
