A Waste Of Space

A Waste Of Space

Rooms are usually square, as soon as they're not,
all these angles were no good for furniture, we forgot;
all these 'angels' didn't really rescue the criticism,
when I thought about it all, they just said: 'It's him.'

No, it's not - every part is incredibly important,
your time, whether it was good or bad was relevant,
to the very core of existence, just no one like you,
watched, loved, sometimes hated whatever you tried to do.

All those 'put-downs' you had to bear, but why care?
Write down your good points - a short list? You dare
to condemn when you are not in my league, mon ami,
could not match my magic and ethereal mystery.

There you go, think you're so smart, you didn't get the part,
you're the one with the nasty barbs, I'm the one with the heart.
