adagio for a shipwreck

adagio for a shipwreck

where do the birds go
when their nest has fallen?
a boat that has no dock to moor in
gets lost at sea

you close your window and
you think
you chase spring away or
because you say goodbye
a heart in love
stops beating

it’s not so easy
to erase all memories
when one has loved
it's like undressing the body
of the caresses
one has received

the dusk of a feeling
is always a slow grief
for someone
who was not reciprocated
it's like an adagio
for a shipwreck
at sea
