After The Rain

For days I rained
Outside her window
She listenedĀ
To the raindrops
As they trickled all around her
She heard the tapping on her roof
The pitter patter in her attic
The freefall from her gutters
She listened to it all
She felt the rain upon her skin
When her umbrella wouldn't suffice
Each drop carried prominence
And when the rain dissipated
The clouds cleared
And the air crisped
I realized everything
I needed did exist
