AFTERLIFE -- HAVE WE EVEN LEFT ---LIES SINKING

Anger from singing your song
tongue dragging
on the metal escape
rubber sweats across
this leaking ocean floor

Swallows seek the warmest heart
eaten in volcanos departed rush
running rough
these feet in shreds
so many years -all outstretched
fall in one
but which will wait

comment on a gravestone
well it's slipped
pushed it under the grassy grip
now it grows beside my name
seems im punctuated yet again

my father told me to leave
rainbows always decieve
no golden end
if you decide
as my mind turns unkind
mad as the hatter
but no friends for tea
only Alice strung out on theĀ  slow thief

under the covers
we hide in case that nightmare
turns up inside my fragrant blind

Shaded shadows cowl
against that unpainted flesh
I awake inside that caged head
left standing
watching corners prowl

screaming, screaming, screaming,
screaming
screaming

Screaming,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
