Poem -
Ahhh! Spring!!!
That joyous time of the year
is just around the next bend
the birdies are practicing
their sweet melodies preparing
for that joyful time once again
the grass will soon be
popping up looking for sunshine
and rain to help them grow
to greet the world once again
in an never ending cycle
for ions past and those to come
how can we be anything be thankful
and in awe of this divine
existence we are so fortunate to know
TRULY BLESSED WE ARE!!!

We had some spring like weather a couple of weeks ago but nature said "hang on there buster, calm down... we'll tell YOU when it's spring!!!" Smart ass weather!!! Happy day Miss Stacy... love and hugs, Happy JackΒ β€οΈ???

Since you are writing about just one aspect of nature here, Jack (namely grass), and the line is structured in a singular vain, shouldn't "it" be used here instead of "them"? Had you wrote "grasses" instead, well then, that would have been a horse of an entirely different color.
Grammatically speaking, of course...
Still, this is a nice poetic piece heralding the onset of spring.

I've always wanted to go to Canada! I am a distance away in New Zealand, we are just at the end of our summer now and are experiencing hurricanes and what not. At least I will have more time to sit inside and write!!Β
