After reaching out 
Like that tree in your ol' backyard 
With its arms outwards 
And upwards 
Stretching in all directions 
Poking this way and that 
Green foliage smile 
As if to say, "I hear you"
It's so good to be heard 
That you took the time, that 
You concentrated your mind 
And give a damn, thank you, 
Thank you beautiful human 
For listening to my heart beat,
