All The Flowers

All The Flowers

Smoke covered eyes
Hazy like summer lies
I saw the warning sign
Hands push until
Full speed ahead

I mourn for the heat filled faces with lashes coy and minted skin
They'll be mounted on the wall by morning
The trophy piece
A shiny crystal
"Baby you light up my world"
If only it wasn't so dark and dingy
It's grimy like the sheets she washed after he left and didn't call
Sleep shirts worn to hide when he got too grabby
Crawling on knees to meet eyes that displease

Beauty is just a quickened demise
What's a little beauty with out a lot of pain?
Beauty is a beast plastered to her face
The calling card of unsavoury means to a end
Is this the end?
The end of her innocence
The end of self fidelity

Mindless self indulgence has slick hair and a charming grin
Beauty is his mistress
And together they bathe in the rancour
Of a lovely girl

With her innocence sullied, tarnished by him
