All the glittering stars

Last year, to the date
I tried to die
Last night, every second
I’ve never felt so alive
Not just for the speed, or the clouds of dust
Not just for the warm burn of whiskey
But for the screams of excitement
But for singing my lungs out
For the happy go lucky driver
For the cowboy who stole my heart
For myself, because I’m done
I’m done with brokenness and loneliness
Misery is no friend of mine anymore
I’m done with night screaming in pain
I’m about to win the war….
