All used to be's

I used to know a country 
That stood for strength & pride, 
I used to know a delivering island 
Working hard earning,the money ride, 
I used to see respect for the elderly 
But all I've ever seen,is it fade, 
I used to see the children,just having kids
But now excepted,no lessons are then made, 
I used to know a country
An open door was safe & sound, 
I used to see a healthy life
But humans,ignorant,when lessons are around, 
A country filled with murder
A country similar to the USA, 
Moaning about its murders
When selling weapons, the USA way, 
I used to see a working economy 
We saw a government,worked & cared, 
I used to see that the public came first 
When trust & work were paired, 
I used to know this country 
Where drink & crime wasn't all, 
And kids were taught right & wrong 
Faith, nor cheat, lie & fall.
