Alone
By Primmy
She screamed.
And she screamed.
And yet she was completely silent.
No one heard a thing.
A deafening silence settled over her.
Her thoughts running no slower than a mile a minute.
A single tear rolls down her face.
Her heart splits and crumbles.
Her head is a mess.
And she's terrified.
And they've left her all alone.

The first word that comes to mind is, wow! The pace of the poem is swift and elegant. At the end, I wanted to read more.
Favorite line:
And they've left her all alone.
Who is "they" in the poem?
Why is she terrified? Is it because she is alone and afraid?
I think this could be part of a much longer poem, if you decide to expand on it, I'd be happy to return to read it again. Thank you for sharing your poem. I enjoyed reading it.
Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I don't write poems so your comment means everything to me! I'm generally a novel written, although none are published.
"They" are her friends.
And she is terrified from what's going on inside her head and that she's alone to try and fight through her demons.
Thank you so much for your kind words! (∩_∩)
Hello and thank you for clarifying. I'm a bit rusty in regards to writing reviews. Poetry has always been a challenge for me, to write metered poetry is the dream in my head. Reading so many awesome poets on this website.
Great job!
