Americana-Centerville Ohio-The Greatest July 4th Ever

Americana-Centerville Ohio-The Greatest July 4th Ever

We went to a July 4th celebration, that we had never been to before;
It was beyond our expectations, we could not have enjoyed it more!
We left the house at quarter till seven, to watch a 5K run take place;
Our friends from LA Fitness were running, a thousand did the race!
.
We departed the track at 8:30, to drive to the fabulous fair;
Where eighty-thousand people, were expected to be there!
We parked and started walking, we checked out lots of classic cars;
All displayed along the midway, which ran at least a mile far!
.
There were over a hundred vendors, selling their goods and wares;
And around fifty fancy food trucks, with yummy bills of fare!
We ate a plate of Bolivian Plantainas, so delicious every bite;
As we walked up to the big Parade, quite a fantastic site!
.
An hour later, we ate two fat Bratwursts, at a nicely shaded spot;
Where we listened to a band play, 70’s music which we liked a lot!
Then we went to hear a famous singer, Alexis Gomez, from our town;
We swayed for over an hour, she rocked the roof off with her sounds!
.
Then we saw more classic autos, while heading back to leave;
The street was wall to wall people, more than we could believe!
We got home around 2:30, almost eight hours after we had left;
“The Greatest July 4th Ever”, it’s organizers the epitome of deft!
.
.
                          The greatest party
             Fireworks for one’s heart and Soul
                     Can’t wait till next year
