An abandoned slipper

An abandoned slipper on the shore filling up with sand,
From the swelling of the water ebbing closer to the land.
I wonder, am I you poor slipper, for I've been cast off too,
Oh those hurtful words last night have pierced my heart in two...
Both of us abandoned ,Oh let me try you on,
Ah, the water's cold, but come, and let us both be gone.
Shall we walk together slipper to explore the ocean floor,
Together we shall journey on, through this sub marinian door.
Look there! A sunken Palace in the clearness of the water,
And see who comes to greet us, it is She the Seagod's daughter,
She speaks and wants my love then sighs,
Love me, you shall live forever, the only price you have to pay
Is to throw away thy slipper.
Eternal life everlasting love,
I foolish man obeyed,
But there, She laughs and shimmers and slowly starts to fade,
The surface is so high above, my lungs are straining fast
I can't control the bursting pain, I expel and then I gasped,
Salt water tore through every vein, blood stains the sea below
To be carried through the underworld where crabs and corral grow.
To be carried by the current, to a nearby coastal land,
Where it flowed into a slipper, that was filling up with sand.

Hi  BydOnz What a great story writtenÂ
of  "An Abandoned Slipper"  written as a comparisonÂ
to oneself
Thoroughly enjoyed A pleasure to read
Best wishes DebsÂ
Thanks Debs, this was inspired by such a slipper on aÂ
beach I came accross whilst walking the dog back in the days.
Cheers.
