An All Too Familiar Modus

An All Too Familiar Modus

Oh’ you poor wee man
you’ve got it bad don’t you ..

Does she call you luv and
cry at every opportunity ..

Does she claim to burn candles
and say prayers for you too ..

Does she then throw them
all back in your face ..

Well it seems she does to all of us
don’t blame yourself though ..

She will do that for you
without a shadow of a doubt ..

Take my word, it won’t be long
soon you will be well and truly done ..

And then, when she has had her fill
you will no doubt, be discarded too ..

“Ouch” that’s the feeling I got when I read this Neville. Some people are reckless in relationships. Your pen is showing it’s mighty power again my friend. I hope you write a novel one day. I will be at the front of the line to buy it 😊

Bless you dear lady Gwen, you are so very kind to this old scribe .. I guess a lot of folk think of poetry as being about love (either the searching for it, the acquiring of it, or of loosing it) .. fluffy pink bunnies, ribbons and bows etc etc .............. Well it aint, is it my friend, or at least it needn't be ...

Just between you n me, I have two novels on the go at the mo .. but doubt whether they will ever get finished ............................ My word the guy can waffle for England can't he ...........................................Thanks agen Gwen 😊

Waffle away my friend, your waffles are great to read. I do hope that old scribe gets busy with his novels, he has fans waiting to read them after all 🙃

I think it’s brilliant how well you can write the many layers that form in relationships. How you capture a single moment and it’s impact is just sheer talent my friend
