Analysis Of A Star

Analysis Of A Star

What did you do with the life that I gave you?
Oh yes, you were an actor I believe, good too,
a bit naughty, even had sex with another lady
on your wedding night, how disgraceful was that?
Ā
All that business with Cleopatra fondling an asp,
amazing how the future always seems in the past,
what a great voice I gave you, my dear Antony,
although Olivier had said: 'My kingdom for a whore.'

I'm going to bring you back from your Swiss bed,
no one will ever really noticeĀ that you left dead,
because poor Earth just deserves a soul like you,
now that Heston and Ford can hardly walk anew.

Don't dare wonder what this meeting was about,
just be grateful and shut the door on your way out.

The fish of the sea

amazing how the future always seems in the past,

A very clever line, one that's interesting to ponder. I liked the poem aswell. A simple but extremely well written piece. All the Best. The Fish of the Sea
