Another Hell

I have a crippling anxiety to start school

Another Hell

Reality breaks and reconstructs itself
The mind breaks the best it can
and rewires a new man
One that can fend for himself

One not led by the contempt and fear
that kept him alive year after year
They’re no longer needed here
It’s time to tear off his peel

The body that never had time to heal
It trembles and fakes nerves of steel
Even without its protective wall
The boy’s doubt survives despite it all

If devils have new faces
and pain a different feel
In this place, where all should be well
What if it’s another hell?

Where loving embraces
Hold knives behind them
It could be another of those places
It could just be another hell

What powerful writing… I feel as though I want to hug you and tell you everything will be alright. Your perception, while marvelous and intuitive, is invariably sad. Reach out, stand up, shout out, embrace your bullies. Revel as the veil begins to fall.
