Anxiety and Agitation

Anxiety and agitation
Are good for my imagination,
Bad though for my mental health;
Perhaps it stops me being myself.

Ah!  But what is ''myself''
Since I've been anxious for
So long a time?
Perhaps ''anxious and agitated'' is just me
And there's no other way that I can be.

I wake with the radio and the news
It makes me worried and sometimes confused
What will the future hold for mankind?
Such anxieties consume my mind.
