Apples

She is an apple
Past it's prime
Scabby on the outside
Dirty from life's grime
The season has been tough for her
Much to endure
Time to give up now
Drop to the floor!

The neighbouring tree
Bears fruit so rich and sweet
An apple there smiles
Life's been a treat!
Pruned to perfection
The soil treated so well
Apples from these branches
Enjoy life's swell

How can two trees
offer such differing life?
One is lucky
Had the right throw of the dice
Looking at apples
Which one are you?
Ready to drop
or still enjoying the view?

BLOSSOM

Eva, wonderful symbolism, a delightfully thought provoking and imaginative write.  Thoroughly enjoyed it, and have already read throught twice and still pondering that thought lol!  Really like your style, great write.  Another nomination and vote from me:)
