Arise

Arise

White submits to green
At last thwarted ice queen
Boughs herald leafy bud
β€˜Neath skies steely scud

Nitid diadem begrace
Awash on ornate face
Calyx blush forthright
Make ruin frosty plight

Dreams alight Sunkist
Melt inhibitions whist
Along icy shores protract
Uphold seasonal pact

Arise in gloria fashion
Impart rapturous impassion
Solstice tidings profound
Spring forth earthbound

I love this Lisa, where I am we have had a very mild winter and now spring is simply going nuts. The change into spring still feels profound though and now as we go into Easter bank holiday Britain and Ireland are forecast to be hotter than the med. Pity I get hayfever.

Wowww how u open it like a spring bud, creatively capturing how winter white submits to green, ahhh I'm so impressed by this awesome nature poem, I'm so glad I didn't miss out on this enthralling wonder that delighted my poetic senses so. Kudos aplenty poetess!!

Awesome in every way, Poetess! Unlike that which blooms to inevitably die, your words will survive to resonate beyond the seasons!
