Poem -

As Far As The Eyes Can Go

As Far As The Eyes Can Go

Truth be told, there’s nothing to be told
Everyone is in the know of the known
The approach is what’s often met with reproach
It’s a half full glass for him
A half empty glass for me
We fight cos we don’t understand why others don’t understand
Same eyes, seeing from different perspectives
Same frame, different lenses
We’re all moulded in the shape of our experiences
Built in the foundation of our upbringing
Thoughts are students taught by life’s lessons
When I speak my mind, accept it as mine
Don’t fight to pin me to your opinions
The song I sing has been rehearsed over the years
Why are you hanging me without a hearing?
Must all ink bear the colour of your story?
Let our eyes dance in the benefit of doubts
And our minds judge without prejudice
And our hearts defend the difference
We may meet at a point we’ve never set foot
And dream a dream yet to be conceived
