Ashes in the Snow

i saw your ashes in the snow 
when i followed the map to that part of whitened woods 
in the sleeping dawn, i took silent flight 

i saw your ashes in the snow 

i stood before an ancient, lonely mountain 
and all it told me was everything i already somehow knew 
i heard your voice in the dark 
and followed the map 
to see the glimmer of all the resting seas beneath a setting sun 
trees were waving in the wind as if 

to bid farewell 

to me and all i know

I grow weary of composure 
but i still find 

your ashes in the snow.
