Poem -

Ashes in the Snow

i saw your ashes in the snow
when i followed the map to that part of whitened woods
in the sleeping dawn, i took silent flight

i saw your ashes in the snow

i stood before an ancient, lonely mountain
and all it told me was everything i already somehow knew
i heard your voice in the dark
and followed the map
to see the glimmer of all the resting seas beneath a setting sun
trees were waving in the wind as if

to bid farewell

to me and all i know

I grow weary of composure
but i still find

your ashes in the snow.
