Have you ever seen a grown man cry
Or the excitement In a mother’s eye
When their children  exceed their expectations 

All the Years of gentle goading 
Making their study’s a little less foreboding 
All the encouragement and love
When they are feeling down 
Help to make them smile again
To replace the worried frown 

Yet things don’t always fit the plan
That you imagined or conceived
It doesn’t have to be that way
Or so we’d like to believe

As we instilled in them with a sense of pride
And an eagerness to succeed 
To see them rise amongst there piers 
Yet hold humility firmly between their ears 

Keep there egos thoroughly held in check 
As they make the most of all the modern tech
To achieve their dreams and aspersions 
Which then brings a family closer 
To enjoy the celebrations 

We all need a little encouragement
 to spur us on each day
Positivity drives you to success 
Gives you purpose everyday 
Then you can take the lead
And guide other along their way
