Autumn Shades of Death"
She lay upon an Autumn leafed mass
her hair a matt of tangled blood and grassΒ
an image of humanity cruelly demisedΒ
a crime of unjust and undeserved despised
The coloured leaves reflect in shades
as promise of love into nightmare land wades
Orange the flame of attraction newΒ
Ignited to a love believed so true
Brown the eyes that beguiled her need
now a corpse for the ground to feed
Red the passion in action to feel
but evil was brewing in this sick heel
Green her naivety in trust
broken bones covered in leaves a rust
Black the colour of evil to kill
only a weakness of a psychopath's will
Blue her lips now without breath
White of eyes rolled in deathΒ
Grey despair ferments in fallen leaves
A wicked act of evil and nature interweaves

WW....Love your imagery so skillfully written in rhyming couplets...the color detail "the promise of love into nightmare land"... orange, brown, red, green, black, blue, white and the gray of fermenting leaves and death.Β The story intertwines gruesomely with the beauty of the autumn leaves aflutter in the depth of the woods.

WENDY!!.....SO creative!!..... just coming up with the idea for the framework of this piece is VERY creative thinking...... the coloring of death with the pastels of autumn...,, feeding into the decay of leaves intermingled with the decay of death's gruesome transition is brilliant dear poet sister!!......
