Avoiding Running Out Of Money During Retirement

Ways to avoid running out of money
During your retirement years
Do not drink anything but tap water
Do not eat regular store bought food
Eat leaves and grass and stuff
Flavoured with the juice
Of a squeezed acorn leaf
Food as you know it today is strictly taboo
However, occasionally you can have
Somebody's left over fries
But only once in a six month period
And keep it to a quantity of two fries
We also recommend you occasionally
Go to a restaurant and sit down in a booth
However, don't order right away, look around
When you notice a family of six leaving
And there's still food on their plates
Calmly walk over, sit down
And start eating their left overs
When your waitress comes back
To your original table
Look the other way and keep eating
Keep uttering words like “this is yummy”!
Or, “holy crap, this stuff is amazing”
This is just some friendly advice
To other seniors to hopefully avoid
Running out of money during retirement

Jack humorous exposes in his poem a reality, with a retirement excesses can never be made if you want to make ends meet, sadly in Spain of a sad retirement living five or six people among children and grandchildren, and I speak not pension thousand €, not, but pension of 400, 500 and $ 600, those amounts must be taken to get to the stomach to the tap water and the gastronomic offers of McDonald.
In my childhood, my best friend was an old woman of eighty years with Diogenes syndrome, she used to say:
"There is nothing worse in this world that being old with the aggravating circumstance of poor"
I think it was right, a young stomach holds everything from water from the tap to the waste of a supermarket, but an aged heart always needs more care.
A greeting, the poem is sad, real and impressive.
Thank you my friend,
That sounds like a very sad state for your seniors. It's probably a wide spread problem all over the world!
All humour aside, it is very sad!!!
Cheers, Jack
A superb piece Jack and so well written. The folk in charge don`t seem to realize that they will also have to retire one day!!! They don`t even try to make things better for those who struggle. Well done sweety. Lots of love. G xx
