Babies

Babies

My babies grew up but I wasn't really there,
wish I could have been like Charles, he care,
perhaps in the next life I'll know how to hack it,
get rid of the devils that on my shoulders sit.

Who wrote my script, must have been macabre,
we know who ever designed made it really hard;
we digress, progress, what's more is still less,
perhaps I should grow up and just really confess.

Dumbing myself down, sometimes you're a clown,
think maybe it's time, why not get out of my town,
not the answer, perhaps you can tell me what is,
I need a tie - something to give me anchorage.

Funny thing is, I have, a greater power is mine,
she has greater stardust to always keep me in line.
