Babies In 2050

How long before I can drive a car?
You always say I'm much too young
So what if I can't actually feed myself
And you still have to change my bum
Times are a-changing dear sweet mother
The new age of majority is two
Us guys have brains like soccer balls
And the balls to try something new
I know my size might be a problem
But with all the new gadgets that exist
As long as my young brain is functional
I can still do most things on the list
Like keeping track of my finances
Making sure I've got enough to retire
As I reach the age of two hundred and ten
With enough till the day I expire
I know it's difficult for you to grasp
And I realize to you this is new
But so many advances have taken place
Us wee folks can live longer than you
So next time you look at us grandkids
And feel sorry we missed what you had
Each new generation has it's own advances
A product of our time, good or bad

Well done my Jack for another superb piece. Just think of all those fantastic exciting things to come to all our children and future generations. Geoff and I have six children four boys and two girls and now we`ve got 13 grandchildren and I`m going to become a great grandmother soon too, so our house is very full at family celebrations and especially at Christmas which I adore because we all get together and have a great time, a very busy and hard work filled time, but I love cooking for all of them on Christmas day and I wouldn`t have it any other way either. It`s a good job that we have a large dining room and a very large cooker, it`s an industrial one like those that they have in restaurants. Well done for a brilliant piece that makes the reader think hard about the future of our children and all the fun to come for them all. An enjoyable read indeed.
God bless and keep you safe and well sweetie
Love and hugs

Thank you sweet Georgie Girl! We had five children, (two adopted) four boys, one girl! Don't see much of them... we don't live close except for my youngest, Scottie! He's my star!!!! Our Christmas celebrations used to be like yours! I'm from a family of eight... seven girls and little ole me, the youngest! Everyone's got a tale to tell, I enjoyed hearing yours! Love you a bunch sweet Georgie Girl xxx
