Back At The Beginning

Back At The Beginning

I was back at the beginning, in his place,
a lady offered me an apple but I declined,
I knew that it was from the tree of knowledge,
now the future would be different, no more free will.

A snake hissed nearby in mock disapproval,
I smacked his body and he slithered off in a huff;
the lady had been naked but meant nothing to me,
someone erected a signboard which read 'Eden.'

So it had happened after all, not a silly myth,
if I returned to my former time, what would I find?
Androids walking around, I would be the only one who knew,
that now you would no longer misbehave like fools.

There was clear water, fresh air, wonderful scent,
no one would ever ask me where I went.

Being Me

I like this. I like the off hand tone you've adopted with this

someone erected a signboard which read 'Eden.'

Brilliant x
