Back with Alice

Back with Alice

The sides of the tunnel brushed my shoulders,
I emerged with a plop on to a grassy knoll,
there she was, complete with the white hair band,
I was back there again in her mythical land.

She asked how things were getting on above,
I said not good with so many nasty bugs around;
a wanted man had given himself up to the police,
he couldn't stand people he was with, happy release.

Lockdown blues were rife, you're lucky down here,
she said why don't you stay, we'd like your nonsense,
sometimes I'd like to be back for a nice piece of ham,
many things I miss, turkey, marmalade and spam.

The Queen of hearts made some tarts, all on a
summer's day, 'Do you have them on e-bay?'

To me ~ this feels like there is VERY much of a personal insight involved.....and it may be difficult for the masses to truly comprehend this.....but there is a touching eloquence running just below the surface of the whole of it.......felt quite lovely to me.......not quite sure....but the writing communicated something special!!......ALL STARS!!......your cyber-friend and admirer.....tony!...Hello to Alice!!......peace bro!!

Hi Tony,
How are you?
Nothing underlying here -
'wanted man' was a newspaper story.
Thanks so much for the pin.
Love,
Terry.
