Bada Bing Bada Boom

Yesterday, I had my surgery, first thing at nine a.m.;
It went so smoothly, I could not believe it, these Doctors don’t haw and hem!
It took just twenty-five minutes, to tell me they were done;
I said, “I didn’t even realize, that you already had begun”!

My Surgeon said, “You did so well, that I’m sending you home today”;
“We will monitor you till two p.m., then you’ll be on your merry way”!
When I got back, Linda was waiting, with a smile on her face;
She looked so very beautiful, that my heart began to race!

I ordered up a breakfast, spinach omelet, a yogurt parfait too;
We watched TV all morning, as our excitement steady grew!
For we had thought I would be staying, at the hospital all night;
But now we were so happy, relieved, and not up tight!
.
Sure enough, they released me, at two p.m. on the dot;
The nurses were so efficient, Linda and I thanked them all a lot!
What we thought would be an ordeal, turned out to be a snap;
By two-thirty, we were on our sofa, my head upon her lap!
