Basic Manners

Greeting someone
Showing gratitude towards others
Holding open a door
Not throwing litter on the floor
Letting people go by you on the street
These gestures can make
Or break someone's faith in humanity
Having decency is easy
It takes more energy to be rude
Having manners isn't knowing what fork to use
But how you conduct yourself
Without sarcasm or an attitude.
