Beautiful In Death

In cold, cruel whispers, darkness sets
Upon a child who grows through diffidence
Unwhole and listless, as to harness death
When life's already gone
Everyone stands against you
And you see no place to run
But the shadows that seem
Like a haven to breathe
Until the hour of darkness soon returns
The drove encircles afore the storm
With eyes demented and looming long
Then rain and vengeance converge to one
Rearing to commence
Fools have mocked and they will scorn
From sordid sights, a lie is born
But only are the insufferable
As ugly as the soul of the earth
Crushed by their grudge
You suffocate, collapsing
Beneath a narrow embrace
The callous grip takes hold
And keeps you trapped in
Foraging for refuge in a vacant tomb
Which you climbed therein to hide
But the lid it shut and the air was cut
With light draining out of you
From lightless voices, viridity runs
Through nettles and weeds
Where tender hearts are strung
ββββββOn a reviling leash, labeled grotesque
But only are the untouchable
As ugly as the soul of the earth
And all that lays upon the orphan's grave
Are the fronds of rejection and ridicule
Where forests envelop unfeathered prey
A light must shine through
Though the inscription will not read
Beautiful In Death
