Beautiful Lies

Let me hide my sorrow behind glitter and paint
I will be pretty with my hair and make up 
My eyes will be orante with colourful shadows 
Bright colours will make you believe I’m very happy
Lashes a perfect black coat of a waterproof mascara 
No proof of last night salty seas which the eyes spilled
Classy red lips will be bold and strong all day 
You wouldn't believe there’s fluoxetine in my bag
Foundation so perfect as if Da Vinci painted me 
You don't see my anxiety or psoriasis
Brightening concealer to add to my facade 
Horrible bags have disappeared from my eyes
A touch of blush and a lot of  highlighter 
Here's a recipe for the most beautiful of disasters
They will think “shes perfect, strong and sane”
Yet inside she knows she may as well be dead……..
