Beautiful Sleep

Beautiful Sleep

We were together in our dreams, nothing's as it seems,
travelled to the yellow stars along fantastic light beams;
they say that you can book your ticket before you sleep,
would you wish for 'deep' or maybe just a quantum leap?

Now I was a baby again, still in the womb, but ready,
to swim, hands outstretched pointed, nice and steady,
bursting into sunlight, into the green land of my birth,
no matter what they say, this was beautiful planet Earth.

Naked as the day we were born, flesh soft and warm,
we caressed and kissed softly towards a new dawn;
there were no bitter trolls between north and south poles,
only things of beauty as we achieved all of our goals.

We would continue our nightly dreams, it wasn't finished,
as the sun rose, peeped thro' curtains, we awoke refreshed.
