Poem -

beauty and truth

In chambers veiled by twilight’s grace,
Where Beauty and Truth interlace,
I wandered, seeking solace deep,
Where mossy lips their secrets keep.

I died for Beauty, scarce contained,
In whispered echoes, softly gained,
Yet Truth, a silent sentinel,
Lay in the room adjacent, still.

“Why did you fail?” Truth gently asked,
Its voice a breeze through shadows masked.
“For Beauty,” I replied, my breath,
A fragile bridge 'twixt life and death.

“We brethren are,” Truth murmured low,
As kinsmen met where moonbeams flow.
Between the rooms, we conversed free,
Our names entwined in mystery.

The moss crept forth, our lips it kissed,
A shroud of silence, softly missed.
For Beauty and Truth, side by side,
In chambers veiled, forever bide.
