Before You Go

Before You Go

Tell me why I was not good enough in bed,
I'll do anything to stop you walking out the door,
perhaps your favourite meal might change your mind,
but I'd like to know what's wrong before you go.

I didn't mean many of the things I said,
you know me - a gobby cow, don't always think,
never too late to change, I'll try my best,
dress better, show you what I bought, before you go.

I can't bear the thought of being on my own,
need you near me, just touching distance, every day,
we'll talk more about current affairs, I'll listen to you,
tell you how we could be better, so that you won't go.

I know that some things have to change, they will,
you won't go because I know you love me still.

Brilliantly written and massively underrated! Pure emotion and angst I can only hope you find your happiness.
