Behind Each Fence

Behind Each Fence

Grass grows greener, on the other side of the fence

Or does it? Not really, it just seems to be the fancy

Funny, how life makes you think, it is an impossible dream

Keeping you on your toes, behind the shadows, there are lies

Lies of deceit, fear, anger, hate, and demons that grow beneath

The darkest of fences are those iron gates, the ones you can't tear down

So easily, the horrific torment underneath, the most powerful place for your fate

If  you think the grass is greener on the other side, take it real slow for the devil will hide

Seeking you out, knowing you are weak, and beware of the shadows of the daffodils

It is the fragrance and beauty that fools you the most, the danger below will soon be your host
