BENEVOLENCE

The plight of each feather prepares for her flight
a winged beauty, brazen with might
Spectacular plumage poised to perfection
Preened and cleaned, arranged in direction

Adorning her form are elaborate scales
sparkling like sequins from her head to her tail
her wing span expands to spread miles wide
embellished with feathers that cover both sides

Her face is akin to pink porcelain
Framed by a mane of silken red crimson
every facial feature, so gentle and placid
yet compromised by her eyes, that had been plagued by acid

This benevolent belle now burdened by sight
her blinding blue eyes were scarred by the bite
of one vicious, malicious and envious sprite
the basis behind vengeful thoughts tonight

Among mountainous valleys and volcanic vales
Benevolence dwelt in the darkest of dales
Tormented by her own tortuous tale
her glistening spirit soon became pale

Veiling her voyage, formidable skies
Eclipse the sun, shielding demise
Shadows forecast a cloaked disguise
soaking dark clouds, predestined to cry

Heavy weather may hinder her trail
but those wondrous wings will protect more than hail
defending her mission, for surrender meant fail
Absolute precision upon every detail
shall surely ensure the smoothest of sail.

This valiant vixen then envisioned prediction
Realizing revenge was not the solution
For slaying the sprite held no real retribution
Thus Karma took charge of the elf’s’ execution

To vanquish her anguish she had to extinguish
the burning holes of her soul and relinquish
the fact that her sight would never return
thus her furtive fire could no longer burn.
